IMP-HD6 – Mercedes-Benz ACTROS 1841 16 Camera Single Expander HD Trailer
Vehicle: Mercedes-Benz ACTROS1841 4×2 model, Single-side expansion trailer structure. Measuring 13 meters in length, 3.95 meters in height, and 2.5 meters in width. The right side of the trailer can extend outward by 1.4 meters, with the expandable section measuring 7 meters in length.
Cooling System: Equipped with commercial air conditioners from Daikin—two units of 5 HP and two units of 3 HP—with a well-designed internal ventilation duct system.
Power Supply System: Features dual 380V main and backup power inputs, a 220V emergency input, a 60kVA isolation transformer, and three 10kVA APC UPS units providing uninterrupted power supply for the entire vehicle’s equipment.
Workstation Configuration
Functional Zones: The interior of the vehicle is divided into functional zones: Director Zone, Technical Zone, and Audio Zone. The Audio Zone is physically separated and fully enclosed for sound isolation.
Workstation Setup: The workstations are designed to be flexible and efficiently arranged. The vehicle can accommodate up to 22 workstations.
System Design
Video System: The vehicle is equipped with a full HD SDI video system. It supports up to 16 standard broadcast cameras, 2 high-speed cameras, wireless cameras, 6 external inputs, 4 EVS servers, and has capacity for future expansion.
Switcher System: The core switcher is a 4ME SONY MVS-7000, supporting 60 HD inputs and 24 HD outputs. The main control panel uses a 24-button 3ME layout, while the auxiliary panel is a 24-button 2ME layout. Frame memory boards are included.
Audio System: Audio mixing is handled by a YAMAHA CL5 console with 34 faders. It supports analogue, digital, and Dante audio signals. The system is equipped with both onboard and field interface boxes and supports 5.1 surround sound production.
Monitoring System: Video monitoring is achieved using SONY monitors and Axon multi-viewers. The system supports 64 video splits, allowing flexible display configurations to meet various production needs.
Intercom System: Communication is based on the RTS ZEUS III intercom matrix, with each workstation equipped with an intercom panel.
Replay System: The vehicle is wired for four EVS slow-motion servers.
Broadcast Vehicle Operation Overview OB6 was built in 2018, the HD6 broadcast vehicle has been used for the live HD production of numerous top-level sports events and entertainment programs. These include multiple Super League matches, national team games, and other major broadcasts.
