This 4K UHD OB trailer is a 24-camera triple expander that C2S designed, supplied and built for ZO’R TV in Uzbekistan. It was created as a large-scale, future-proof mobile facility for international sports, the local football federation, FIFA and judo tournaments across Central Asia, as well as live concerts and government events. Notably, its first deployment was the FIA Formula 1 Awards in Tashkent.

ZO’R TV-24 Camera Triple Expander 4K/UHD OB VAN

THE BRIEF

ZO’R TV commissioned C2S to design, supply and build a triple expander 24-camera 4K UHD OB trailer, in order to support its growing demand for high-end production services. In particular, the objective was to create a large-scale, future-proof mobile production facility capable of delivering international sports broadcasts, servicing the local football federation, covering FIFA and judo tournaments across Central Asia, and supporting complex live concerts and government events.

To achieve this, C2S built the system around cutting-edge 12G 4K UHD technology, based on Ross Video solutions: the Ross 12G Ultrix router, Ross Carbonite Ultra 60 vision mixer, Ross Glue and Ross XPression graphics, together with a Riedel Artist64 intercom, 30 channels of Riedel R12 and R6 replay servers and a Yamaha DM7 EX audio mixer.

During the build, the team paid special attention to Uzbekistan’s extreme climate, where temperatures can exceed 50 degrees in summer and drop to minus 30 degrees in winter. As a result, the vehicle operates reliably in both extremes, with stable cooling, power distribution and environmental control at all times. Beyond technical performance, C2S also focused on interior design and ergonomics, so that the trailer offers a visually impressive and highly functional working environment. Finally, its first deployment was the FIA Formula 1 Awards in Tashkent, where it delivered high-quality live coverage.

Inside the ZO’R TV 4K UHD OB trailer

The 12G infrastructure is based on Ross Video, with a Carbonite Ultra 60 3 M/E vision mixer, a 12G router, openGear glue and XPression graphics. In addition, Riedel R12 and R6 servers provide 30 replay channels, a Riedel Artist-64 matrix handles talkback and a Yamaha DM7 EX console manages audio. Because temperatures range from over 50 °C in summer to minus 30 °C in winter, C2S engineered the cooling, power distribution and environmental control to work reliably in both extremes.
