This Arise TV OB van is a 24-camera HD double expander system that C2S originally built in 2011 for SuperSport Nigeria to cover the local football league. Later, C2S acquired it back, carried out a comprehensive renovation and sold it to Arise TV in Nigeria. The system includes two Mercedes AXOR double expander vehicles, a production unit and a VT/satellite unit with a 1.8 m uplink, plus a support vehicle with twin generators.

THE BRIEF

C2S acquired a 24-camera HD OB van from SuperSport Nigeria, originally built by C2S in 2011 to cover the local football league, renovated the OB Van and sold it to Arise TV in Nigeria. The system comprised two Mercedes AXOR double expander vehicles, a production unit and a VT/Satellite unit, along with a Mercedes AXOR support vehicle equipped with twin generators.

C2S carried out a comprehensive renovation, including:

• Upgrading the vision mixer, router, glue, and multiviewer
• Replacing all monitors and control systems
• Upgrading cameras, EVS servers, and VT units
• Performing full servicing of the vehicles including coach, generators, power, UPS, air-con and KU-Band satellite systemThe entire refurbishment was completed onsite in Lagos, ensuring minimal downtime and cost efficiency for the client

C2S upgraded the vision mixer, router, glue and multiviewer, replaced all monitors and control systems, and upgraded the cameras, EVS servers and VT units. As a result, the system now runs 18 Sony HDC-1500/1550R HD camera channels, 4 Sony HDC-3300R super slow-motion channels and 2 Camera Corps Q-Ball NETCAMs. Moreover, a Sony MVS-8000X vision switcher, a Snell Cygnus 512×512 router and EVS XT3 replay servers form the core of the production chain.
